The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins led an all-star acoustic (virtual) band for a reimagined version of the Foos' 2002 hit "Times Like These."

The super-charged cover was produced by the BBC as a fundraiser for the battle with the novel coronavirus.

The song was released early Thursday. While the BBC has hinted at the various artists involved, we'll have to wait until the official music video is released to know who's doing what and when.

Contributors include 5 Seconds of Summer, Bastille, Biffy Clyro, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, Hailee Steinfeld, Jess Glynne, Rag'n'Bone Man, Rita Ora, Royal Blood, Yungblud, Grohl, Hawkins and several others.

"Our vision was to create a stay at home version using phones, pots, pans and acoustic guitars that would honour the brilliance and honesty of the artists and song, rather than the tricker of an expensive recording studio," producer Fraser T. Smith told NME. "We tried to make thins single in a totally different way artistically, relevant to today. The lyrics particularly resonate with us all at this challenging time, and I sincerely hope that money raise can help the plight of the unified battle against COVID-19 around the world."

Profits from the song raised in the U.K. will be split between BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief. International profits will go towards the World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
