For Lizzo, quarantine has allowed her to get back in touch with her natural self.

In an interview with People for their recent Beautiful Issue, the "Truth Hurts" singer admitted that if there’s one silver lining to being in quarantine, it's been the break from her jam-packed schedule — and endless glam sessions.

“I think I’ve been in makeup every single day of my life for the last six months," she shared. "We get addicted to seeing ourselves really dolled up. I had a few days off in Brazil back in February where I wasn’t in makeup and I remember being like, ‘Yo why am I so ugly to myself right now?”

“It’s because I got addicted, used to seeing my face with contour," Lizzo said. "I never thought that would happen because I’m such an earthy b*tch, I can go days without makeup!'”

She added, seeing her bare face, as well as others in recent weeks, has been a nice reality check. “What’s been really cool is seeing all of these people who are in glam every single day, not in glam every single day. I think that’s f**ing sick," the "Good As Hell singer shared.

While Lizzo has been able to safely quarantine at home and enjoy what in essence has been a break from her busy schedule, her privilege is not lost on her as she noted that many people can't say the same. “I feel bad because there’s so many people who weren’t prepared for this. I think that’s been the hardest part for me, is emotionally being tapped in and being so empathetic and feeling for people," she shared. "There’s a lot of people right now who are going through it and my little problems ain’t nothing compared to theirs.”
