Back in February, the Hollywood Reporter revealed the main cast for the highly-anticipated 10th season of American Horror Story. A number of familiar faces are set to return for the milestone season of the horror anthology, including Sarah Paulson, Adina Porter and Kathy Bates. Two months later, however, fans of the show believe a new cast member was left off the list. So, who is this mystery actress? None other than Ariana Grande.

On Sunday (April 26), American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy shared a teaser for the upcoming season on Instagram. The teaser featured a shot of the rubber man—a character who has popped up in the AHS universe time and again—and a caption that simply read "coming soon." Shortly after posting the photo, Murphy followed Grande on Instagram, too. At first glance this seems innocuous enough, however, Grande is now one of two people Murphy follows on the social media platform. The only other person he follows is his husband David Miller.

Once fans noticed Murphy's new post and follow, they quickly began to speculate about Grande's potential casting in the upcoming season of American Horror Story. Unsurprisingly, they were pretty darn excited about the possibility.

While nothing is confirmed just yet, it wouldn't be too surprising if Grande did pop up in the AHS season. She's worked with Murphy before during her brief appearance on his show Scream Queens a few years back. As fans of Murphy's shows know, he enjoys working with the same actors again and again. Not only have Murphy and Grande worked together before, Murphy revealed that Grande ended up getting cast in Scream Queens because she reached out to him to talk about American Horror Story.

"She was just obsessed with American Horror Story, like she was obsessed, so I think she just met me to ask questions about the new season to be honest," Murphy said in a 2015 interview. "We started talking about that and I said, 'Hey, I have this new thing that I'd love for you to be a part of. It's sort of American Horror Story-esque, but it's a little bit with a wink and a nod.' And I told her what it was, and she was instantly on board."

As always, details about the upcoming AHS season are being kept under wraps. Though Murphy announced much of the main cast already, this is a show that keeps plenty of surprise up its sleeves. We'll just have to wait and see if Grande makes her AHS debut next season.
