The coronavirus pandemic has affected the production of tons of movies and TV shows recently, with a great deal of them having to be put on hold as we all self-isolate.

So no doubt Little Mix fans are wondering what is going to happen to the girl group’s planned reality TV show that was due to start at some point this year.

In case you didn’t know, Little Mix are starting their own talent competition show, following their own success on The X Factor back in 2011.

It’s called ‘The Search’ and basically it’s a music competition where the winner will get to join the girl on their upcoming tour!

It was due to start airing soon on BBC One, but what’s going to happen now?

One of the band members, Perrie Edwards, joined the Kyle and Jackie O show this morning, when thankfully she revealed that a lot of the show has already been filmed!

“We finished filming the audition process and we actually got sent the second edit of the first two episodes, so I need to watch them tomorrow,” Perrie told us.

“And it’s so good! The live shows bit is coming, obviously we don’t know when but everything else before the live shows we’ve already filmed. So everything’s good to go, we’re basically just waiting for lockdown.”

Which is definitely good news! Because basically that means as son as the live shows can start filming, the show can start airing! And hopefully that’s not too far away now.

Apart from the reality show getting pushed back though, Perrie says that she’s actually really enjoyed having this downtime and being stuck at home.

She told us that the band is often so busy that they don’t get a lot of time to actually spend at home and just unwind so this has been a much needed break for the girls.

“I can’t lie, I’m having the time of my life,” Perrie said.

“I’ve never spent so much time with my boyfriend, I’ve never spent so much time in my house, and I’ve never had so much time on my hands just to do stuff that I’ve always wanted to do. So it has been nice but I’m losing track of what day it is.”

Perrie did admit that she misses the other Little Mix girls though, because they’re like her sisters!

“It’s weird because we’ve never spent this much time apart,” she told us. “Other than Christmas we’re together 24/7, so our group chat is lit. Like we literally message everyday. Just send each other stuff everyday.

“But it’s just odd. It’s like my sisters so not being able to see them is like not being able to see family. But I think we’re just enjoying the time off.”

We think everyone is enjoying the little bit of a break at the moment Perrie!
