Katy Perry is trying to remain positive and grateful amid the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The “Roar” singer, who is expecting her first child with Orlando Bloom, delivered some unfortunate news about her future baby shower celebration. Ahead of Sunday’s (May 3) remote broadcast of American Idol, the musician spoke openly with fans via Facebook Live on how she’s maintaining a positive mindset during these uncertain times.

While consoling a fan who confided in Perry her struggles to plan a wedding in June, the star assured her, “It’s okay to feel all the feelings,” before admitting that she’d also “had to reschedule many plans” due to the coronavirus outbreak.

As fans know, Perry and Bloom got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019. The lovebirds were intended to tie the knot sometime this year in Japan, however, the pair was forced to push back their wedding to 2021 because of the global health crisis.

The “Swish Swish” recording artist also revealed she had to cancel her baby shower because of everything that’s transpired, but isn't going to let it bring her spirits down.

"I know not everyone does a babymoon or a baby shower, but I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to do any of that. I'm just taking it one day at a time. But I'll be grateful. I mean, I'm grateful now, but there's a lot going on," Perry admitted. "Some days, you know, you lose perspective. Like, I was showering, and I was like, 'Gotta be grateful, gotta be grateful, no matter what you're going through you gotta be grateful. I know that there's probably a lot of people going through a lot of intense things right now."

Perry and Bloom announced their pregnancy in March. Weeks later, the star couple hosted a gender reveal party, announcing they are having a baby girl.
