Billy Joel has announced rescheduled dates for six live shows affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joel's monthly residency at Madison Square Garden was halted (along with everything else) a few weeks after his February performance at the World's Most Famous Arena.

As a result, his March, April, May, June, July and August shows have all been postponed with the hope that Joel can resume performing in September. See the original dates and the rescheduled dates below:

  • March 19, 2020, has been rescheduled to September 26, 2020.
  • April 10, 2020, has been rescheduled to October 11, 2020.
  • May 2, 2020, has been rescheduled to November 13, 2020.
  • June 6, 2020, has been rescheduled to December 20, 2020.
  • July 23, 2020, has been rescheduled to January 13, 2021.
  • August 3, 2020, has been rescheduled to February 3, 2021.

Joel's June - July postponements were just announced Wednesday morning.

Furthermore, ticket holders can request a refund anytime over the next 30 days, beginning today, if they cannot commit to the rescheduled show date. If a refund is not requested over the next 30 days, tickets will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled show date.

For tickets purchased at the Madison Square Garden Box Office, call the MSG Guest Relations department at 212 - 465 - 6225.

Before the novel coronavirus hit New York, Joel had performed 73 consecutive monthly shows at The Garden since 2014 and a total of 119 shows all-time at the venue, more than any artist in history.

Though he won't be at The Garden, Joel will perform again on Monday, May 11, as part of the Robin Hood: Rise Up New York! COVID-19 relief benefit.
