Mystery Behind 'Creepy' Man Hidden In Jennifer Lopez Selfie Solved

Jennifer Lopez’s followers were deeply concerned about the singer’s recent gym selfie.

On Saturday (May 16), the musician posted a selfie of her busting a sweat at her home gym in Miami. Although it appeared to look like any other workout snapshot the fit musician is known for sharing on Instagram, users noticed a strange man seemingly hiding in the background of the photo upon second glance.

The discovery sparked a lot of interesting — and terrifying — reactions from Lopez’s fans. “Why is there a man in the background with a hand over his mouth?” one user asked, as another commented: “Who’s that creepy guy in the back behind you???”

Well, now we know who the "masked" mystery man is — and her fiance, Alex Rodriguez, has something to do with it.

As a source explained to E! News, Rodriguez was on a Zoom call at the same time the “If You Had My Love” star snapped the now-viral mirror selfie. That man fans noticed "hiding" in the background of the photograph is actually the person Rodriguez was speaking with.

"Their office is attached to a gym and is separated by curtains from their office space," an insider told the outlet. "When they are doing a zoom they project it onto a big screen."

“If you look closely you can see Alex's arm in a navy blue shirt. He's sitting in front of their desk, with the big screen on it, so the image of the person you're seeing is who is on his Zoom call," the source explained. "That man was covering his mouth with his hand."
