Living Colour has release a new video for "This Is The Life," a song that first appeared on the band's 1990 album, Time's Up.

Built around a live version of the song, the video contains images protests and riots that have enveloped cities nationwide, following the police-custody death of George Floyd.

"Time's Up was released 30 years ago and sadly we're still fighting the same fight," the band said in a statement accompanying the new video.

On May 31, guitarist Vernon Reid called George Floyd's death on "the most depraved exercise in contemptuous disregard for human life I've ever seen."

Over the weekend, on what would have been Breonna Taylor's 27th birthday, Reid visited the site in his hometown Staten Island, where Eric Garner died in a police chokehold in 2014.

Reid called for a National Memorial for unarmed citizens. And urged celebrities and "the woke" to chip in for a proper memorial for Garner, Floyd, Taylor and others who have died due to racial bias and excessive use of force by police.

"I've been meaning to say this for a long time," Reid said via Instagram. "I finally got it off my chest. I just want everybody to be safe. If you're going to protest, protest peacefully. F--k the looting s--t."

Bassist Doug Wimbish shared the new "This Is The Life" video on Sunday accompanied by lyrics from the song's final verse.

"In another life
You never have to cry
In another life
No one ever hurts you
In this other life
Your loved-ones never die
In your real life
Treat it like it's special
In your real life
Try to be more kind
In your real life
Think of those that love you
In this real life
Try to be less blind

The band added a call for Americans to vote in upcoming elections if they "don't like the current agenda."
