Ozzy Osbourne's longtime bassist Rob 'Blasko' Nicholson is eager to restart the now mostly-canceled 'No More Tours 2' farewell, but says there's no reason to rush into anything.

Blasko last performed with Ozzy on New Year's Eve 2018. The planned tour the following year was postponed as Ozzy endured a battery of serious medical issues, including advancing Parkinson's disease.

'No More Tours 2' is still scheduled to resume in Europe late this fall, but between the coronavirus pandemic and questions around Ozzy's health, Blasko says all parties are understandably wary that they will get back on the road before next year.

"We all remain hopeful that if we do tour, it's for all the right reasons, and if we don't, it's also for all the right reasons," he told The Chuck Shute Podcast.

Asked about Ozzy's latest studio album, Ordinary Man, Blasko confirmed that he had no misgivings about not getting the call to record.

Ozzy used Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and producer/guitarist Andrew Watt as the core of his band for the album. Ordinary Man also included contributions from Slash and Elton John.

Blasko says Ozzy pays him to come when he's called and in Ozzy's service he's not "entitled to anything" more.

"I'm appreciative of the time that I've been able to spend in the Ozzy Osbourne band, but that doesn't entitle me to play on every record or do everything that he does," he continued. "He's Ozzy Osbourne — he should be able to do whatever he wants to whenever he wants to, because that's his creative vision. And I don't wanna get in the way of that."
