Pink honored one of the most influential Black women in history.

Over the weekend, the married couple joined other Black Lives Matter protesters in California and paid tribute to Rosa Parks in a special way. In a picture shared to Instagram from Saturday’s (June 6) protest, the “Glitter in the Air” singer-writer is seen wearing a blue shirt that shows the phrase “Nah” along with the inscription, “Rosa Parks, 1955.”

As Black history buffs know, in December 1955, Parks, a civil rights leader, famously refused to surrender her seat to another white passenger on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama. Parks’ refusal led to her arrest but also incited the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which sparked a nationwide effort to end the racial segregation of public facilities.

Her hubby Carey Hart, who joined his wife at the Black Lives Matter rally, also shared images and videos from the gathering. “Wifey and I went to a #PeacefulProtest with our local community today,” the 44-year-old wrote on Instagram. “Stay safe everyone.”

Pink and Hart are among the myriad of celebrities who have spoken out in solidarity with the Black community in the wake of the fatal arrest of George Floyd, the unarmed Black man who died after a police officer knelt on his neck for several minutes while being apprehended.

Last week, the “Just Give Me A Reason” songbird had to put All Lives Matter detractors in their place for criticizing her alliance with Black Lives Matter.

“Totally get where you’re coming from. HOWEVER, as a person with a lawyer brain, I have to say… when you single out one race and say ‘that’ race matters. You ARE implicitly saying other races don’t matter as much. It is automatically inferred. … This could happen to ANY ONE OF US! … It is not about race,” one user commented, to which Pink clapped back with, “You are the epitome of white privilege and the saddest part is that you don’t even hear yourself and probably never will.”
