Scottsdale Fashion Square Has Reopened Two Weeks After Looting

June 11, 2020

Scottsdale Fashion Square mall has reopened just two weeks after some stores were damaged after a looting incident that took place on May 30th as protests were happening in Downtown Phoenix.

The mall posted a short message on Wednesday afternoon to its Facebook page.

"Welcome back friends!" the post said, following by the mall's hours. "Come on in, we've missed you!"

The mall's hours will be Monday - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. Some stores remain closed.

The incident began on Saturday evening after a large crowd of people gathered outside the shopping center. Scottsdale police have said that those who participated in the Scottsdale rally were not part of the Black Lives Matter protests that were happening in downtown Phoenix.
