Garth Brooks Debuts Unifying New Song 'We Belong Together'

Garth Brooks has shared a hopeful new song with fans called "We Belong Together."

After Brooks' appearance on Good Morning America last week, he sent the host, Robin Roberts, the song and let her choose what to do with it. "You decide what you want to do with it," he told her. "You'll be the first one to get it. If you want to share it, share it, if you want to keep it for you, you keep it for you." Roberts of course decided to share the uplifting song with the rest of the world through social media on Monday (June 15).

"My beloved momma always said, 'everybody’s got something'....whatever your something is that you're facing I hope this brings you as much comfort as it has for me," she wrote alongside a clip of the song. "My immense gratitude to engineer, Matt Allen, studio manager, Charles Green, the gentleman who mastered it, Eric Conn, everyone who had a part in this and the incomparable Garth Brooks for allowing me to share this gift."

"We belong to each other. We are sister and brother, born to love one another," Brooks sings in the chorus.

Take a listen to "We Belong Together" in the video below.

Premiere of Garth Brooks' New Song We Belong Together

On Thursday after announcing his upcoming Drive-In Concert I asked Garth Brooks when we could expect new music from him. Here’s that exchange on Good Morning America followed by my longtime, dear friend singing We Belong To Each Other. My beloved momma always said “everybody’s got something”....whatever your something is that you’re facing I hope this brings you as much comfort as it has for me. My immense gratitude to engineer, Matt Allen, studio manager, Charles Green, the gentleman who mastered it, Eric Conn, everyone who had a part in this and the incomparable Garth Brooks for allowing me to share this gift.🙏🏾❤️

Last week, Brooks announced his plans to host a concert for fans at 300 drive-in theaters around North America on June 27.

"They're going to run it just like a regular concert, but this is going to be all over North America, one night only," he shared last week on Good Morning America. "We are excited because this is a reason to get out of the house, but at the same time you get to follow all the COVID rules from every individual state and you get to have fun and stay within the guidelines of social distancing...we're calling it 'social distancing partying.'"

Tickets will cost $100 per truck or car, with no limit on how many people can occupy each vehicle. There will only be 250-300 tickets available per drive-in. Fans can purchase their tickets starting on June 19 at 12PM ET through Ticketmaster.
