Nick Cordero's wife Amanda Kloots wants fans to be careful with the viral COVID-19 pandemic as the Broadway star continues to fight for his health in the hospital.

On Monday (June 15), the fitness instructor took to Instagram to urge fans about the precautions, particularly since recent reports indicate the state of California has seen a surge in cases. "This is my reminder to you to stay safe, wear your mask, wash your hands, social distance and don’t leave your home unless you have to. You don’t want this virus," Kloots captioned a photo of herself wearing a face mask on the 75th day of Cordero's journey. "You don’t want your loved one to get this virus. It’s still here and unfortunately increasing again."

Kloots went on to admit she never thought that her husband would get coronavirus. "Nick is 41 years old, in shape and had no preexisting health conditions. He is going on day 75 in the ICU. My heart breaks for him everyday. Please be safe," she continued.

In late May, Cordero faced a setback with his health, but Kloots admitted that despite the new lung infection, he was slowly recovering. The star has been hospitalized since March and had his leg amputated due to complications from the respiratory virus. He was placed in a medically-induced coma after surgery and woke up just a couple of weeks ago. Later on, it was revealed that Cordero was starting stem cell treatment to help his recovery. Doctors also suggested that Kloots bid farewell to him and ruled out the option of a lung transplant for the severely damaged organ.
