Craig Morgan Shares Graphic Photo Of Knee After Slashing It With A Machete

Craig Morgan, who is currently in Alaska, is recovering from a recent machete injury.

The country singer revealed his injury to fans this week sharing two graphic photos of his knee on Instagram. The first picture shows his bleeding wound in his knee before stitches, while the second shows a close-up of the knee stitched up after.

"Got a little machete gash, the singer wrote in his caption, adding, "Few stitches later and I'm good. God I love Alaska."

Comments from fans immediately poured in wishing Morgan a speedy recovery, although some admitted they were slightly uncomfortable at the sight of blood. See his full post below, although I'll warn you, it's not a pretty sight.

Before injuring his knee, Morgan has been staying active throughout quarantine. He recently told People that he was able to find time to finish a project he started after the death of his son Jerry in 2016.

About a year and a half ago, Morgan started building a set of steps at the bottom of the hill that would eventually lead to his son's gravesite. His scheduled ended up getting so busy that he never had time to finish them, until the coronavirus pandemic when everything came to a pause.

"My wife had been begging me to finish it," he said. "I just refused to let anyone else finish it, because I felt like they were mine to finish. So to finish those steps now is a good thing."

Morgan also recently released his new album, God, Family, Country which features five new songs along with remastered versions of older songs."There were days when I didn't want to write songs, but then there were days that felt really good and I was inspired and I could feel God's spirit telling me to get off my butt and be grateful," Morgan said of writing the album.

"Rather than worrying about how much time I was missing out with my son, I started focusing on all the blessings I had with him," he added. "That's what we should all celebrate."
