Camila Cabello’s latest music video is a touching tribute to her dad.

On Father’s Day (June 21), the songbird unveiled the visual for her song “First Man” as an ode to her father, Alejandro, who makes several, nostalgic appearances throughout the project. The record’s video compiles sweet, heartfelt father-daughter footage, which Cabello watches and muses over as she sings to her dad about feeling loved and secure in her relationship.

“I swear on my heart that he's a good man/ I know you’ll stay up late just waitin’ for me/ You held me so tight, now someone else can/ But you were the first man that really loved me,” she croons in the heartwarming chorus.

“First Man” was the first record Cabello wrote for her second studio album, Romance, which released in December 2019. Upon unveiling its music video, she took to Instagram to honor Alejandro on Father's Day.

"Papa, I made this for you. thank you for loving me, unconditionally, ferociously, and constantly,” Cabello wrote. “Doesnt matter if I fail or succeed, doesn’t matter if I feel on top of the world or like the dirt on my shoe lol. you love me just because you love me, without me needing to do or be anything other than just me. thank you endlessly, for everything.”

“Thank you for showing me what love is and for showing me how to be loved. I will always be your little girl,” she continued, before concluding, “Te amo mucho papa, thank you for being my hero, happy Father’s Day.”
