Tenille Townes Plans Virtual Benefit Show With Luke Combs, Dierks Bentley

Tenille Townes will host her annual "Big Hearts For Big Kids" benefit concert in support of the Sunrise House homeless youth shelter in her hometown of Grande Prairie, Alberta. This year, with most live shows canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Townes is turning the event into a virtual concert on June 30.

Townes, who releases her debut album The Lemonade Stand, on Friday (June 26) will perform from Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. She'll also be joined for at-home performances from special guests including Dierks Bentley, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Andy Grammer, Mickey Guyton, Caylee Hammack, Ashley McBryde, Lori McKenna, Chrissy Metz, John Osborne and Lucie Silvas.

"It is a dream to be bringing ‘Big Hearts For Big Kids’ to Nashville, to be lifting up youth who need us in the world right now and celebrating with music from artists that I admire so much," Townes says in a statement. "Watching the way this event has grown in my hometown over the past 10 years has shaped me and taught me what people coming together through music can really do."

Fans can watch the show through Townes YouTube, Facebook and Instagram page as well as on the Bobby Bones Show's Facebook at 7PM CT.

I could not be more excited to invite all of you to a special virtual concert fundraiser called @BigHeartsForBigKids. I really can not get over the names on this poster, and am so honoured to have these heroes and friends be a part of a night of amazing music, all hosted from the mother church, the Ryman Auditorium. Big Hearts started 10 years ago in my hometown, when I heard that our youth shelter needed funding to stay open. I have been blown away by the power of music and what happens when a group of people come together. I'm thrilled to bring this event to everybody's living rooms this year, and have the very first Big Hearts For Big Kids: Live From Nashville!! In light of all that's going on in the world right now, wrapping our arms (virtually) around the kids who need us out there, feels more important than ever. I can’t wait!!!

Townes highly-anticipated debut album, The Lemonade Stand features 12-tracks all of which had a part in writing. Five of the songs were previously released on her 2020 Road to the Lemonade Stand EP, including "Jersey On The Wall," "White Horse," and "Somebody's Daughter."

"The Lemonade Stand is a collection of songs that mean so much to me and are the way I see the world in this season of my life right now," Townes explained in a press release. "I want this music to be like a gathering place, where people can come and be filled up. I hope this record reminds people of who they are, that they are not alone, and reminds them of their dreams. This record is the dream that I had when I was a seven-year-old kid singing along in the backseat of the car. She would really be freaking out right now."
