Rapper Huey, popular for his song “Pop, Lock & Drop It,” has reportedly passed away. He was 31.

According to Fox 2, who broke the report Friday (June 26), the hip-hop musician, whose birth name was Lawrence Franks Jr., was shot and killed in St. Louis, Missouri, last night (June 25), according to authorities.

As the outlet reports, the shooting transpired “just before 11:00 p.m. in front of a home in the 8100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Mable Avenue in Kinloch.” Huey sustained a gunshot wound that required him to be transported to a nearby hospital, where he was shortly pronounced dead after his arrival.
