Texas To Rename Field at DKR After Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams

The University of Texas announced on Monday that it will begin the process of renaming Joe Jamail Field at Darrell K. Royal Stadium after it's two Heisman Trophy winning running backs, Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams. They also announced they will build a statue of Julius Whittier, the Longhorns' first African-American football letterman.
In addition, the university announced "The Eyes of Texas" will remain the alma mater.
At the request of the Jamail family, Texas will rename the field at DKR after Heisman winners Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams.
