Irish Radio Stations Ban 'Rain On Me' Because It Won’t Stop Raining

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's 'Rain on Me' may be a hit, but some Irish radio stations have decided to ban the track from their airwaves. The reason? There's been non-stop rain in Ireland since the song's release back in May.
FM104 Strawberry Alarm Clock hosts Jim-Jim and Nobby realized that Dublin hadn't seen truly nice weather since before 'Rain on Me' started playing on their stations and decided to take action. "We went from BBQ weather to umbrella weather in a matter of days," Jim-Jim said. "We miss sitting out the back sunning ourselves with a bag of cans, we miss the BBQs and we miss the good drying!"
As a result, they won't play 'Rain on Me' until the weather has "cleared a little." Nobby explained they're conducting an experiment to see if pulling the song will help the rain stop. Their superstition is based on a similar incident that happened with Rihanna's 'Umbrella' in 2007. After 'Umbrella' hit the Irish airwaves, the country saw weeks of rainy weather. Jim-Jim and Nobby claim 'Umbrella' gave Ireland "the worst summer weather in living memory.”
The radio station hosts are so serious about banning the song that they're encouraging listeners to inform them if they hear 'Rain on Me' play at all over the next few days. Do you think removing 'Rain on Me' from the airwaves will help clear up the weather in Ireland?
