Surprise, Barbz! Nicki Minaj is pregnant!
The rapper broke the news herself on social media, taking to Instagram with pictures of her and her baby bump on full display. “#Preggers 💛” she captioned the announcement photo early Monday morning (July 20). "Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛"
As fans know, Minaj is married to music industry professional Kenneth Petty, with whom she tied the knot in October 2019 after less than a year of dating. This will be the couple's first baby together.
The baby news may be a shocker to some, but most Minaj fans suspected the 37-year-old lyricist was expecting since as early as last month.
In case you missed it, she seemed to tease her potential pregnancy in the music video with Tekashi 6ix9ine for their collab “Trollz.” As pointed out by eagle-eyed fans, the Barbs noticed Minaj made sure to keep her stomach hidden throughout the visual.
“Y’all notice not one stomach shot NICKI MINAJ is pregnant I’m calling it !!!!!,” one user tweeted.
"My good sis is pregnant idgaf 😭😭😭. I damn near messed my eyes up trying to get a good look at her stomach," someone else commented at the time.
