EXCLUSIVE: Chrissy Metz Details Her Love For Country Music

Chrissy Metz has undoubtedly found success as an LA-based actress, making us weep with each episode of “This Is Us,” but the star is having a breakthrough moment of her own.
Chrissy’s country music debut has begun. The actress has released her first country single, “Talking To God” which documents a heartfelt conversation with the man upstairs. Co-written by Nicolette Hayford, Connie Harrington, Jake Mitchell, Ashley McBryde, and Aaron Raitiere, Chrissy shared with Cody Alan that this is a dream come true.
“Music was always my first love, and it sort of got pushed to the back burner,” revealed Chrissy. “Country music for me, well, I grew up with it, and I have always loved it.”
“When it comes to country, I love the storytelling of it,” shares the star. “Like, when you hear a verse, and you think, “Oh, what’s the turning point of the chorus going to be?” Those are just really special aspects of country music that I have always loved.”
Chrissy says being a part of the country music community, “just made sense.”
