Dolly Parton-Inspired Rooftop Bar, 'White Limozeen' Now Open In Nashville

A brand new rooftop bar inspired by country music icon Dolly Parton officially opened last week in Nashville, TN.

Named White Limozeen after Parton's 1989 song and album, the indoor and outdoor space located on the rooftop of the Graduate Nashville hotel features bright pink walls, an onyx wraparound bar, glittery chandeliers and even a giant pink chicken-wire sculpture of the singer herself.

The operator of the restaurant, Marc Rose, says the new place is a mixture of glamour and approachability.

"We wanted it to feel really approachable and really feasible for everyone to be there, everyone to have a good time, whether you're drinking a can of Natty Light, or you're ordering caviar," Rose told USA Today. "And if you order that caviar, we expect you to spill it on your shirt because you're having such a good time."

Graduate Hotels CEO and founder Ben Weprin says the bar represents the glitzy pinnacle of a thematic voyage. "We have a character in every hotel," he said. "Here, it's a country girl who moves to the city and makes it big."

The decor of White Limozeen is anything but quiet as it features a variety of shades of pink with glitzy accents including Fuschia-crushed velvet chairs, crystal chandeliers, and plenty of tassels and fringe. Rose says the space was “designed to invoke the nostalgia of attending a dinner party in a friend's living room."

Inside guests can order poolside-friendly cocktails with names like "Queen of the Rodeo" from the half-moon bar. Or, they can lounge outside under umbrellas around a pool.

The rest of the hotel, which opened in January, has similarly bold style with much of the decor inspired by country stars. Graduate Hotels President David Rochefort told USA Today, "We just generally felt that a lot of hotels are starting to...really look a lot like each other...We wanted to be totally different."

White Limozeen was originally supposed to open in March, however due to tornadoes in the Nashville area and the coronavirus pandemic, was delated to July 18. The restaurant and the hotel are following safety and cleanliness guidelines, including practicing social distancing, frequently disinfecting surfaces, and offering “sanitation stations” for guests.
