Blackpink and Selena Gomez are reportedly collaborating on the K-pop group’s debut album.

On Monday (July 27), the South Korean superstars officially announced the release date for their long-awaited first studio album. Taking to Twitter, Blackpink revealed their debut LP, which has yet been given a title, will arrive on October 2 via YG Entertainment/Interscope Records.

What’s more, the group’s second single from their upcoming effort will be dropping sometime in August — and it’s rumored that Gomez will appear on the track. The speculation comes after Blackpink’s label unveiled the poster for the group’s next single, which teased a surprise featured artist.(Gomez and Blackpink had also been trending on Twitter, respectively, further fueling their rumored team-up.)

As K-pop news outlet Soompi pointed out, MyDaily reported that the “Rare” songbird is the mystery artist in question, to which YG Entertainment responded, “Please wait for the official announcement later.”

The mystery collaboration will follow the release of Blackpink’s groundbreaking new single, “How You Like That,” which has shattered myriad records since it debuted in June.

In case you missed it, the lead single from the K-pop stars’ first full-length project scored three Guinness World Records, including the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, the most-viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours, and the most-viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours by a K-pop act.
