Welcome to the world, Tana!
The Dallas Zoo announced the name of its newborn giraffe on Tuesday. The 12-day-old zoo baby was named after the Tana River in Kenya, where giraffes are native.
Zoo visitors can see Tana, but she's mostly sticking close to her mom, Betty. This newborn isn't that small either. At birth, Tana weighed more than 160 pounds and was over 6 feet tall.
She'll be sharing the spotlight with another zoo baby. Sukari - a zebra - was born on July 23 at the zoo. Her name means "sugar" in Swahili.
