Elijah McClain's Family Files Civil Rights Lawsuit Against City Of Aurora

Elijah McClain's family has sued the city of Aurora and the Aurora Police Department.

"Aurora's unconstitutional conduct on the night of August 24, 2019, is part of a larger custom, policy, and practice of racism and brutality, as reflected by its conduct both before and after its murder of Elijah McClain, a young Black man," reads the civil rights lawsuit filed by the family of Elijah McClain.

The lawsuit also names several members of the Aurora Police Department and Aurora Fire Rescue as defendants, CNN reports.
