Sophie Turner Makes First Comment About Being A Mom On Joe Jonas' Birthday

Sophie Turner mentioned being a new mom for the first time!

On Saturday (August 15), the Game Of Thrones alum took to Instagram to wish her husband Joe Jonas a happy birthday with a sweet photo and a revealing message. “Happy birthday to my love/bub/baby daddy 🥵🔥😍♥️” Turner captioned a romantic photo of her and the “Sucker” crooner, who turned 31 years old this weekend.

Turner’s “baby daddy” tribute to Jonas is the first reference she’s made publicly about entering motherhood. Considering the couple has been considerably silent about their pregnancy — save for the various images that captured a very-pregnant Turner out in public — it’s a pretty big deal.

As fans know, Jonas and Sophie welcomed their first child, a daughter named Willa, on July 22. According to TMZ, who broke the news, the lovebirds’ newborn was delivered at a hospital in Los Angeles.

As far as how the duo managed the beginning days of their new life as mother and father, an insider told E! News, “They are home and getting settled. Joe is very hands-on and involved. He wants to do everything he can and loves being with the baby and helping Sophie.”

The source added the stars are “so excited to be parents” and have been “texting pictures to friends and calling on FaceTime to show her off. Everyone is very excited for them.”

Another insider also dished on the couple’s chosen name for their daughter. “Willa isn’t a family name and isn’t short for anything,” they told Us Weekly. “[It] is a name they had picked out a while ago before the baby’s arrival.”

Although the new parents have yet to share any images of baby Willa, Jonas and Turner did post their first photo together since celebrating parenthood. “WEAR A MASK,” the pop star captioned a selfie of him lounging on the couch with his wife right beside him, advising fans to practice healthy safety precautions amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
