6-Year-old Missouri Boy Loses Foot in Lawnmower Accident

The mother of 6-year-old Jonah Douglas is recounting one such "freak accident" that recently led to the boy losing his foot. Bethany Douglas told reporters that Jonah ran up behind her while she was cutting grass on a riding mower. She had no idea he was behind her when she backed up, accidentally running over his foot in an instant. Beth is a trauma nurse, and immediately sprang into action to help her son. Jonah was rushed to a Missouri hospital and had to have his foot amputated.
