Get ready for more Stranger Things.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer—known collectively as The Duffer Brothers—confirmed that the upcoming fourth season of their hit Netflix show would not be the last. "Season four won't be the end," Ross said. "We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story."

Despite being able to look ahead during the pandemic, production on season four has been on hold over the past five months. "Everyone's excited to get back to work, but the priority is the safety of the cast and crew, and that will dictate when we go back," Ross said.

While the upcoming season is delayed, the Duffer Brothers opened up about how this will impact the story for the fourth season. One major area that's been impacted is their screenwriting. Matt shared that they've "had a lot more time to work on the scripts" this time around. "For the first time, we have all the scripts written and we're able to look at it as a whole piece and make adjustments," he explained.

In the meantime, the third season of Stranger Things is nominated for a number of Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series and Outstanding Special Digital Effects. The Awards Ceremony is set to air virtually on September 20, 2020 at 8:00 PM.
