Trying to break open an ATM is a bad idea. Trying to break open an ATM and livestreaming the crime on Facebook is an even worse idea.
Just ask Arron Neal. He livestreamed himself allegedly attempting to crack open an ATM with a hammer in the Gold Coast neighborhood on August 10, reports the Chicago Tribune. The video of him hitting the ATM is only 30 seconds, but he shows his face in the livestream. He ditched the ATM, but continued to film himself cursing at his Facebook viewers while walking around the city.
"We need to find a store and break into it at this point. Find a ******* bank, bro," Neal can be heard saying the video.

Chicago Police released the video on August 12 and were able to identify Neal within 90 minutes with the public's help, according to NBC Chicago.
He's now facing felony charges for burglary and criminal damage to an ATM.
"This incident is corroborated by the fact that, per the state’s proffer, you put your actions over the internet for public display," a judge told Neal on Saturday during his arraignment. The judge ordered that Neal be held on a $10,000 bond. This was Neal's first arrest.
