The first sneak peak at the upcoming fourth season of Netflix's wildly popular historical drama The Crown is finally here.

On Thursday (August 20), Netflix took to Twitter to share some exciting news. Not only did the streaming platform release a brief teaser trailer for The Crown's fourth season, it also revealed when the new episodes will be dropping on Netflix. "The monarchy. Above all else...arriving 15th November," The Crown's official Twitter account announced.

Fans are particularly excited about this next season due to the arrival of Princess Diana, who will be played by Emma Corrin. "Something as important as the monarchy simply cannot be allowed to fail," Olivia Colman's Queen Elizabeth says in the trailer's voiceover. As she speaks, viewers are given brief glimpses of Corrin's Princess Diana, as well as Gillian Anderson's portrayal of Prime Minster Margaret Thatcher.

It's expected that the upcoming season will cover the Royal Family's history from the late '70s and early '80s. Colman shared her excitement to be moving into a more modern era this season with Entertainment Weekly last year. "It’s interesting because, series 3, for me, was like doing a historical piece," Colman told EW last year, after work had begun on season 4. "Now, it feels less like that and more, I remember that! I remember that voice! I remember that moment! And it feels quite different. We had our read through and to hear the voices of Margaret Thatcher and all of that, it’s quite fun," she said.

Josh O'Connor, who plays a young Prince Charles on The Crown, teased Corrin's "accurate" portrayal of the people's princess while chatting with Harper's Bazaar, as well. "Emma's doing a brilliant job, and it's breathtakingly accurate; she looked the spitting image [of Diana], and it's kind of extraordinary," he said. "So that's kind of spooky."
