Like the rest of us, Ariana Grande is in need of Rihanna's new album sooner rather than later.

On Tuesday (August 18), Grande, 27, took to Instagram to share her adoration for the pop superstar, 32, as word spread that she has surpassed the Barbadian beauty in streaming figures with 20.6 billion-plus to her name. "Holy sh*t thank u all so much for listening and caring at all let alone this much. i can’t wait to give u new things to listen to," she told followers, admitting that she’ll be happy to return the torch once R9 finally drops. "Now can rihanna pls drop her album so she can rightfully snatch this back and fill my ears again please or …."

Despite joking about the release of the follow-up to 2016's ANTI on several occasions, Rih has admitted that the upcoming set will be worth the wait. "I am always working on music," the superstar told Entertainment Tonight during the interview, which was in promotion for Fenty Skin. "I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it's gonna come out. And you're not going to be disappointed when it happens. It's going to be worth it."

While we wait for R9 to drop, the superstar isn't halting her other ventures and she has some superstar fans. Earlier this month, Bruno Mars joked that he wanted to model for the star's newly-launched skincare venture.
