A small crowd of protesters took to the streets of Chicago over the weekend to protest for R. Kelly, who has remained in jail since late 2019 on charges of sex trafficking, child pornography, and racketeering.
The protesters called R. Kelly to be released and asked "where the parents were," during the alleged victim's time with R. Kelly.
Kelly asked for a release due to the coronavirus but was denied bail. He was supposed to stand trial during July of 2020; however, it has now been pushed back to September 29th.

It’s weird because one rally is for children trafficked into pedophile rings
While the other is for a someone who was accused of 10 counts of sexual abuse to a minor in 2019 pic.twitter.com/e7xh4uiBN8
Today I entered the Boondocks by covering a R Kelly protest . The year is 2020. If I’m keeping it 100 I faced more hostility when asking questions at this one than the pro cop pro Trump protest but eventually some were able to speak to me pic.twitter.com/NwCZQIAJAC

Meanwhile, people are REALLY out in Chicago marching and chanting ‘where were the parents?’ as some kind of justified basis for an R Kelly protest! pic.twitter.com/cNssicLSpJ
