Katy Perry opened up about how she plans to raise her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

"They do say that when you meet your wife or your soulmate or your partner, whatever you want to say, that you think that they're perfect and they're everything…and that quickly fades away, right?" Perry said during Monday's (August 24) interview with E! News. "When you meet your daughter that's when you've met the love of your life."

As many know, the "Smile" singer is expecting her first child with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor. She broke the baby announcement in March when she debuted her baby bump for the first time in her "Never Worn White" music video.

Speaking with E! about her plans for entering motherhood, Perry explained what kind of mother she wants to be for her future baby girl and explained that she wants to raise her daughter with what she describes as a "3Fs parenting style."

"I'm definitely parenting style 3Fs: I'm fun, firm but fair," the 35-year-old continued. "Yes, I like to get things done and I like to, you know, create a peaceful scene and it takes a matriarchy to do that."

While Perry is just as thrilled to meet her baby girl, the "Daisies" musician sweetly admitted, "I definitely think she's gonna be daddy's little girl, for sure," referring to Bloom. This sounds about right, considering the 43-year-old — who also shares 9-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr — has expressed his excitement about becoming a "girl dad."

"I've been feeling very grateful, obviously, I have a little baby girl on the way," Bloom gushed in a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "I'm so excited to have a little daddy's girl. I hope she's going to love me as much as I love her. That daddy girl thing and that love of your life feeling is right around there."
