Boca Raton Woman Arrested For Slapping, Cursing At Boy After Go-kart Crash

A Boca Raton woman ended up in handcuffs over the weekend after allegedly slapping a child and calling him a racial slur.

Haley Erin Zager, who is white, is facing a child abuse charge that was bumped up to a second-degree felony because she called an 11-year-old boy, who is Black, the n-word. And it was all over go-karts.

Zager told Boca Raton Police that she "tapped" the boy's face on Saturday after he rear ended her go-kart at Boomers, an entertainment center, according to a police report. The boy's father and another child told police that a chain reaction of go-karts hitting one another caused the boy to hit Zager's go-kart.

Multiple Boomers employees say they saw Zager get out of her go-kart and slap the boy with an open hand, according to a police report. Zager also told an employee “that f------ n----- hit me in the back,” the report continued. She told other bystanders "the n----- hit me."

Zager admitted to police that she slapped the child because he didn't apologize for the crash. Paramedics at the scene gave the boy ice to help reduce his facial swelling.

After police arrested Zager, they found a tin of pills stuff into her underwear. She is facing four drug charges in addition to the child abuse charge.
