Katy Perry is a total goddess in her new music video.
The singer-songwriter continued her Smile video series on Sunday (August 30) by unveiling the dreamy, disco visual for her song “Champagne Problems.”
In the music video for the track, which appears on Perry’s newly-released sixth studio album Smile, the superstar channels Cher while flaunting her "pre-baby" body in a disco queen outfit. As fans know, the 35-year-old recently gave birth to her daughter, Daisy Dove, with fiance Orlando Bloom earlier this month.
“🎶Allllll weee goooot arre #ChampagneProblems nowwe 🎶 🍾🥂 Listen to Champagne Problems to get your pre-baby body back 😩,” Perry wrote on Instagram with a clip from the music video.
On the upbeat dance song, the pop star sings of her and Bloom getting through tough times, and where they are now since overcoming challenges in their relationship.
“It’s a song that really talks about how intense it’s gotten and how many things we have had to go through,” she told Billboard. “Yes, we have problems. Everybody has challenges in a relationship. If it’s a real relationship, it’s going to challenge you into your best self. I really understand what Justin Timberlake said about, ‘You’re my mirror,’ because it’s true. They bring up all this stuff you can’t really see about yourself.”
Perry’s new music video for “Champagne Problems” follows her previously-released visuals for the songs “Cry About It Later,” “Never Really Over,” “Tucked,” and “Harleys in Hawaii.”
