Spooky season is almost here!
As fall inches closer, so does the second installment of Netflix's The Haunting anthology series. Inspired by the supernatural stories of author Henry James, including The Turn of the Screw, The Haunting of Bly Manor is being billed as a "chilling gothic romance" by the streaming platform. On Monday (August 31), Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer for Bly Manor, as well as revealed when the new episodes will be available to stream.
The new nine-episode season is set in 1980s England, when a young American nanny gets hired to care for the wealthy and distant Henry Wingrave’s orphaned niece and nephew at his country estate. She moves into Bly Manor to care for them but soon learns that the kids’ previous au pair died a tragic death on the grounds—and at Bly Manor, dead doesn’t mean gone.
Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Kate Siegel will all return the second installment of The Haunting. Since this is not a continuation of Hill House, however, they will be playing all new characters this time around. Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Rahul Kohli, Amelia Eve, T’Nia Miller and Tahirah Sharif round out the cast.
The Haunting of Bly Manor will be premiere on Netflix on October 9 2020. Will you be tuning in?
