Trump Defends Kenosha Shooting Suspect Kyle Rittenhouse

“That was an interesting situation,” the president said of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who is accused of killing two protesters and injuring another with a semi-automatic rifle in Kenosha, Wisconsin last month. “He was trying to get away from them, I guess it looks like, and he fell and then they very violently attacked him, and it was something that we are looking at right now and it’s under investigation. But I guess he was in very big trouble. He probably would’ve been killed. It’s under investigation.”

Trump issued the comment while speaking to the press on Monday (August 31).
