Another day, another viral tweet from Mariah Carey.

The “We Belong Together” singer had hundreds and thousands of Twitter followers rolling on the floor after she responded to a comedian who claimed to be a distant relative of Nobel-prize winning physicist and chemist Marie Curie. “Thinking about the time that I said that I was distantly related to Marie Curie and a guy explained, ‘It’s pronounced Mariah Carey,’” comic Eileen Mary O’Connell recalled on Twitter Tuesday (September 1).

After catching wind of O’Connell’s hilarious encounter, the elusive chanteuse had the most priceless reaction. Quoting the tweet, Carey replied, “She has 2 Nobel prizes, I have 2 Diamond albums, we're practically the same person.”

Carey’s tweet has garnered over 300,000 likes and more than 41,000 people are still talking about it. (In other words, she’ll be here all night, folks.)

Apart from moonlighting as Twitter’s most criminally overlooked comedian, Carey somewhat broke the internet (again) this week when she finally broke her silence on her “extremely uncomfortable” 2008 Ellen DeGeneres Show appearance in an interview with Vulture.

The “Dreamlover” musician, who suffered a miscarriage weeks after the sit-down, expressed how she truly felt about Ellen DeGeneres pressuring her to confirm her pregnancy at the time.

“I was extremely uncomfortable with that moment, is all I can say. And I really have had a hard time grappling with the aftermath,” Carey admitted to the outlet. “I wasn’t ready to tell anyone because I had had a miscarriage. I don’t want to throw anyone that’s already being thrown under any proverbial bus, but I didn’t enjoy that moment.”
