Parma Police Department officers responded to an unusual call over the weekend when a citizen needed help wrangling two deer out of her in-ground pool.

She called her local police department on Sunday (August 30) after attempting to help the deer on her own, but to no avail, the Parma Police Department explained in a Facebook post Tuesday (September 1).

The post included about a minute of body cam footage of one of the responding officers using pool skimmers and a leash to try to save the animals.

"You're no cowboy," one can be heard saying to another as he worked to coax the fawns to the edge of the pool.

"I am not a cowboy," he agreed.

Still, the officers managed to successfully free the deer.

They observed that the fawns appeared tired and scared, but seemed to be doing okay.

The department pointed out the "'cheer' of appreciation after being rescued" in its Facebook post.

"Alright," the officer — not a cowboy — said at the end of the body cam clip. "Good stuff."
