Demi Lovato opened up about her love story with fiancé Max Ehrich.
The “I Love Me” singer sat down for a virtual interview this week in which she dished on everything from her new music to the exact moment she knew the Young and the Restless actor was her soulmate. Lovato and Ehrich began seeing each other in March, then immediately started quarantining together once COVID-19 lockdown orders were enforced.
Though, despite all that the pandemic has thrown out of whack this year, it actually allowed for the new couple to bond.
“I was set to have my comeback this year after, you know, being out of the spotlight for a while. And, things didn't really go according to plan, but like I said, everything is about timing allowed,” Lovato explained. “God, it allowed my fiancé to come into my life. … We were able to share this time together that we wouldn't have normally gotten to spend.”
While the “I’m Ready” star admits her relationship with Ehrich “accelerated” pretty quickly, Lovato said, “I’m really, really blessed, really fortunate and continuing to count my blessings every day.”
The 28-year-old also adds that Ehrich has been a positive influence on her life, and often guides her through meditation and breathing exercises to put her mind at ease.
“It's just those little things that are implemented in my life every day [that] are really making a difference,” she added.
Recalling the moment she fell in love with the 29-year-old, Lovato said: “I knew I loved him the night I met him. So a week later we went into quarantine. I was like, look, we're quarantining together cause I love you.”
After less than four months of dating, Ehrich popped the big question to the “OK Not To Be OK” superstar in a romantic beachside proposal on July 22. The Disney star celebrated the moment on Instagram with a series of heartwarming photos of the pair kissing on a beach in Malibu, California.
