Martin Barre is marking his 50th anniversary with Jethro Tull the best way he knows how—celebrating the music he's made with the band over the years.

On Monday (September 14), Barre announced his plans to release his own personal anniversary album. The double CD set is titled 50 Years Of Jethro Tull and will be available for purchase beginning November 6 through Store For Music.According to Prog Magazine, 50 Years Of Jethro Tull will be a retrospective, musical look back on Barre's work in the band. The double CD set will take fans back in time through "a personal and revealing collection of both live and studio tracks" that Barre selected himself.

“So… finally we have arrived at year number 50!," Barre said of the special anniversary collection. "Is it important? Yes, of course and it must be celebrated with due care and thought hence this double CD which showcases some of my favourite tracks, plus four bonus tracks.
