The Tennessee Titans unveiled a new mural in downtown Nashville over the weekend as part of the team's lead up to the first game of the season. What sets this mural apart is that it's the first augmented reality mural in the NFL.

The "Tennessee Tough" mural features a football player in a Nashville 615 jersey surrounded by quotes from notable Tennesseans, News Channel 5 reports. It will also feature the names of each of the state's 95 counties. The AR component will bring the mural to life, the team said, making the wall look animated while viewing through a smartphone.

The mural was a collaboration between the Titans and artist Eric "Mobe" Bass, who said he was blessed to create the artwork since he grew up watching the Titans.

"We're just really fortunate to be part of this community and it's going to be a representation of how we've banded together, how people have really come together to help each other out, help a neighbor," said Surf Melendez, Tennessee Titans creative director. "We're just really proud of that so we wanted to celebrate that with this mural.

"'Tennessee Tough' really just explains the resiliency of the people of Tennessee," said Melendez.

The mural is located on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Korean Veterans Boulevard, near the Music City Center. To access the AR at the mural, visit titansmural.com.

The Tennessee Titans will face off against the Denver Broncos in a Monday Night Football game at 9:20 p.m.
