Authorities said a man accused of driving into a Lauderhill home, some cars and more had a blood alcohol level almost four times the legal limit, according to CBS Miami on Tuesday (September 15).

Roy Render's charges include DUI with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash, careless driving and probation violation. Officials said the 62-year-old man is facing 18 total counts when he was in bond court on Tuesday.

"Prosecutors say Render’s blood alcohol level was .315 percent, which is almost four times the legal limit, at the time of the crash. The blood alcohol limit in Florida to legally operate a vehicle is .08-percent," according to the website.

Officers said Render hit five cars, two mailboxes and several street signs before he crashed into Rebecca Goldston's home on Sunday (September 13).

"Fortunately, Goldston and her six children were not home at the time but her house was significantly damaged," CBS Miami said.

The 62-year-old man "a long rap sheet" of prior crimes, such as grand theft, armed burglary, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and cocaine possession," according to prosecutors.

Render received no bond for violating probation and remains in custody. If he is released on bond, Render would be prohibited from driving and would have to wear an ankle monitor.
