Although the holiday season has yet to begin, some cities have chosen to cancel upcoming holiday celebrations. On Wednesday morning, Raleigh Parks announced it was canceling this year's Holiday Express at Pullen Park.
"Raleigh Parks has made the difficult decision to cancel Holiday Express 2020," Raleigh Parks said in a statement. "Our top priorities are the health and safety of our community. We are hard at work planning other ways to bring you cheer this holiday season!"

Pullen Park attractions haven't reopened, ABC 11 reports, but park employees are getting ready for when they can begin operating for the public. However, it may look different as the city is contemplating a reservation system for rides to help park goers adhere to social distancing.
"People are definitely anxious to get out there and get back into the flow," said Scott Mott, Pullen Park director.
To help prepare for operation, the parks department is looking to hire 40 people to work the amusement rides. More information about the jobs can be found here.
Raleigh Parks are considering options for the holiday season that don't include Holiday Express, but no plans have been announced. Stay up to date with any change by visiting the event's website here.
