Strip clubs are allowed to open their doors again to customers in Miami-Dade County, according to NBC Miami on Wednesday (September 23).

While strip clubs have the green light from officials, they must operate with several restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.

These businesses must have a restaurant license from the county.

All dancers must stay 10 feet away from tables during performances for social distancing guidelines, according to an official from the office of Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez.

"Clubs must also abide by the countywide curfew, meaning they must close by 11 p.m. nightly while bars and nightclubs in the county must remain closed," NBC Miami reported.

Broward County has no announced when clubs can reopen.

Within this past month, many types of businesses were allowed to reopen during the pandemic, such as tour and charter boats, movie theaters, outdoor attractions like zoos, restaurants and bike rental shops.

Before Wednesday, all Miami city parks were the latest to get the go from officials to reopen. City leaders said Tuesday that parks can operate again starting Monday, September 28 with restrictions in place.

Bar owners and employees were protesting earlier this week, demanding county leaders allow their businesses to reopen.
