Wilson and Sumner county authorities have arrested two people involved in a drug trafficking ring from Michigan. On September 24, 27-year-old Sade J. Burrow and 21-year-old Deon D. Sanford, both from Detroit, were arrested and are now facing multiple charges related to possession and trafficking of drugs.
According to Lt. Scott Moore of the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, the Lebanon/Wilson County Task Force was assisting Gallatin Police with a narcotics investigation into Burrow. Last Thursday, they executed a search warrant at her residence in Lebanon. During the search, authorities found approximately 10.5 ounces of heroin, 2.5 ounces of cocaine, and 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine as well as a handgun and more than $8,000. Both Burrow and Sanford were on the property at the time.
"The Task Force and Gallatin Police Department conducted a very thorough investigation after gathering information on drug trafficking that was occurring from Detroit to our area," said Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan. "There are several major roadways in and around Wilson County that often lead to drug trafficking to the Middle Tennessee area."
In addition to the arrests in Wilson County, Gallatin Police made two arrests in neighboring Sumner County related to the drug distribution organization.
"We will continue to go after those who are supplying large amounts of drugs that are affecting our community," said Sheriff Bryan.
