Ahead of Tuesday's first presidential debate, U.S. Pest Protection shared an image of a caterpillar that also happens to resemble President Donald Trump's signature hairstyle. The insect, which they nicknamed "Trumpillar," is actually the larval caterpillar form of the Southern Flannel Moth.

The Trumpillar's scientific name is Megalopyge opercularis and is common during the Fall months in Tennessee. In its larva stage, U.S. Pest said it appears as a yellow wooly slug that is also known as a furry puss caterpillar.

"Symbolistic for its fuzzy yellowish-orange hair, the Trumpillar takes on a very distinct look of the President's hairstyle when in its larva stage of life," U.S. Pest wrote in a blog post.

U.S. Pest said stepping on the Trumpillar would be painful as the yellow hairs cover a spiked appendage.

"A single spikelet can cause agonizing pain when it comes in contact with human skin," they said. "If a human happens to step on one with bare feet, intense throbbing can occur in minutes."

Similar to other moths, the Southern Flannel Moth is attracted to life, so you might see one flying around.

"If you think you have come across a bug that looks like Trump's hair, or a miniature toupee hairpiece iconic of President Trump's hair," the company wrote, "it's most likely just a Southern Flannel Moth in larva caterpillar form."
