Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Ghostbusters actor Rick Moranis was randomly attacked in New York City by a stranger.
New York's local CBS station reports that the unprovoked attack happened early in the morning, at around 7:30am, on the upper west side near Central Park West, nearby where the actor lives.
Video footage of the attack shared by authorities shows 67-year-old Moranis being sucker-punched in the head by the unidentified stranger, wearing an "I Heart NY" hoodie, who immediately walks away as he continues down the sidewalk. Police are currently looking for tips on who the attacker might be and shared the attack footage on social media in hopes of gathering any information.

As for Moranis, the actor went to the hospital following the attack, as CBS reports he had pain in his head, back and hip, and reported the crime at a nearby police precinct.
Rick's management team also confirmed to CBS2's Jenna DeAngelis that the actor was doing OK following the punch. They said that he is "fine, but grateful for everyone's thoughts and well wishes."
While Moranis has been quiet on the acting front lately, he recently appeared in an ad for Ryan Reynolds' Mint Mobile phone service. Reynolds has reacted to the attack, and in a tweet shared, "Should have known not to subject Rick to the year 2020. Glad to hear he's okay."
