A Broward County Sheriff's Office helicopter caught infrared video of a car chase across two cities, according to Local 10 on Thursday (October 1).
Tuesday morning (September 29), the chopper was flying high above a white Mercedes-Benz in Pompano Beach. Deputies found out the car was taken during an armed carjacking in Miami-Dade on Monday (September 28).
"BSO’s Aviation Unit’s cameras capturing the chase into Fort Lauderdale. The pilot of the helicopter can be heard telling deputies the car’s location and the driver’s every move," Local 10 reported.
In the video, a BSO car can be seen chasing the suspect vehicle on the ground, lights flashing and sirens blaring. The Mercedes-Benz then pulls into the driveway of the hole.
“Got the driver bailing out. He is running towards that residence. Two properties to the East," the chopper pilot tells deputies on the ground.
K9 units were deployed to search behind the homes, and authorities found a man and a woman in the backyard.
Deputies identified the suspects as Bobby Clyde Bean, 52, and Chloe Jamison, 24.
Bean was charged with grand theft auto, resisting an officer without violence and fleeing and eluding. Jamison is facing charges of grand theft auto and resisting an officer without violence. They're both in custody.
Local 10 said the court ordered no bond set for Bean due to an out-of-county warrant for robbery.
