Cutting Edge Haunted House has been a staple Halloween attraction in the Fort Worth area for over 30 years.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have had to make some alterations to accommodate for safety precautions.
Though ticket sales for the spooky attraction have been cut back by 75%, the owners are still optimistic. Co-Creator of Cutting Edge Todd James stated, "The whole year we thought, maybe we will have to cancel. At least we have the ability to be open. Some places can't."
There are sanitization stations all along the property as well as temperature checks at the door. Reservations are made virtually so that guests can get a text when sitting areas are open to help with social distancing.
Once inside, actors will not be in the guests' faces this year.
James said, "We have always been a no-touch facility, and most haunted houses are, but now we will keep distance."
In order to ensure social distancing in the dark rooms, the last person of each group going through will be wearing a glow necklace so that people can see how far away they are.
Actors will be wearing creative costumes that are complete with COVID-19 safe masks, rather than makeup.
Tickets are available online.
